Tile Backsplash Installers - El Paso
Installing a tile backsplash is a great way to add color and style to a space. The most common places for backsplash installations are behind the sink and surrounding walls in the kitchen and behind the sink and surrounding walls in the bathroom. Tile can also be installed in the laundry room sink or around the washer and dryer. Pretty much any area where water is likely to come in contact with the walls, a tile backsplash is a great idea. It prevents water damage to your walls all while looking stylish and unique.
What does a tile backsplash installation cost?
This will depend on how large the area of installation is, what kind of tile we are using and the size of the tile. It is common for a backsplash to be installed on the entire area between the top of the countertop and the bottom of the cabinets in the kitchen. For a smaller area of installation which costs less, some choose to only tile halfway up the wall above the countertops, below the cabinets instead of all the way up. Some choose to tile every open wall space in the kitchen or bathroom. The options are endless and suitable for any budget!
Types of tile
There are many types of tile available for any tiling project. Here are some common backsplash styles and options:
Subway tile: Subway tile is the most common option for a tile backsplash. The tile is typically installed horizontally but may be installed vertically as well, depending on what our client wants. Subway tile is easy to clean and very light-reflective, ensuring the brightening of any dim or dark room.
Herringbone tile: A Herringbone pattern is one made up of tiles nested together in either a series of W-shapes (diagonal) or L-shapes (90-degree angle). The W-shaped tile pattern is also called a Chevron tile pattern.
Penny tile: Penny tile is a series of very small usually circular tiles (though they are sometime hexagonal) nestled together to create a wonderfully accented backsplash. These small tiles catch the eye due to their small uniform size and turn any kitchen or bathroom into a one-of-a-kind unique space.
